Five minutes with Riehanna Quinn
We sit down for 5 minutes with Head of Venue Sales, Riehanna Quinn as she talks all about her job at Evolution London and gives us an insight into her favourite dishes prepared by our chefs!
Riehanna has been with Smart Group for six years, and over that time has worked with many clients to deliver outstanding events at Evolution London, from awards dinners to exhibitions. As we head towards the end of a difficult year, we wanted to sit down and find out what it is that motivates her and why she loves her job.
Tell us about your role at Evolution London?
I’m Head of Venue Sales at Evolution London. In a nutshell, I am responsible for selling the venue to prospective clients, managing our busy diary throughout the year and contracting events. I also conduct site visits at the venue to ensure we can properly showcase the venue to anyone considering using the venue for an event, this is a really important part of my role and one I really love.
What’s your favourite thing about the venue?
It’s definitely got to be the flexibility of the venue! I love seeing how the venue transforms from a completely blank canvas, to a large-scale conference with multiple breakout areas to a dinner or awards ceremony for 1500. You could be attending a conference on Monday and by Wednesday it’s a full scale exhibition, not many venues have that level of flexibility!
What is your favourite event on the calendar?
My favourite event has to be the Grocery Aid Supplier balls. Our clients are always super creative within the space which adds an extra bit of sparkle, they put on delicious menus which are always topped off with big, fun entertainment! They also do some incredible work providing emotional, practical and financial support to people within the grocery industry.
What has your role at Evolution London taught you?
I’ve learnt so much during my time at Smart Group, which makes it hard to choose! The important thing is working together with my amazing colleagues. Team work makes the dream work! I am lucky to have such a great team around me and without them my job would be a lot harder, and less fun!
What is your favourite dish prepared by our chefs?
Braised Irish beef with rich bourguignon sauce, creamed swede, a thyme and honey fondant and roast heritage carrots – delish!!
