Five Minutes with Olivia Sole

Say hello to Olivia Sole, the newest member of the Evolution Events team!

An Introduction to Olivia

Building on her knowledge as a graduate in Stadium and Events Management and more recently an Event Manager experience at Science Museum, Olivia is continuing to soar in the events and hospitality industry. As an important part of the event operations team, she’s established herself as a reliable contact to our clients. Find out more about her journey to the role and what exciting surprises it has brought.

What's your story so far?

I fell in love with the buzz of live events early on which led me to graduate with a degree in Stadium and Events Management. Since then, I’ve been so fortunate to build my experience across both the operational and commercial side of events businesses. From helping manage large-scale events like the Women’s Euros to delivering high-end corporate experiences at the Science Museum, I’ve learned what it takes to make every detail count. Now, as an Event Operations Executive for Evolution, I’m turning client visions into memorable experiences.

Take us through your day to day!

As an Event Operations Executive, I’m the point of contact for our clients from the beginning to the end of their event. I oversee both the catering and venue elements which means in a week I could be attending food tastings and undertaking site visits to guide clients through their menu selection and event layout – no event is ever the same which makes it so exciting.

What has surprised you most about working at Evolution London?

Definitely how versatile the venue is and how quickly it can transform from one event to another. Even with completely different event types each featuring unique layouts and themes, it’s amazing to see how dynamic the space is.

How have you grown in your role since joining the team?

Since joining in June, I’ve learned so much from all the talented “Smarties” here. My catering knowledge has developed – getting insight from everyone working across the business like chefs, planners and sales, it’s something I hadn’t focused on as much in previous roles, and I’ve really enjoyed diving into that side of the industry.

What is the most valuable thing you have learnt about the events industry?

That success in events is all about adaptability and collaboration. Things can change in an instant, from timings to layouts to guest numbers, so being able to stay calm, think on your feet, and work as a team is essential. I’ve also learned the importance of attention to detail, knowing that even the smallest touches can completely transform a guest’s experience.

What’s your favourite thing to do when you’re not working?

I like staying active, I run and play football. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family, trying out new restaurants or catching up for a drink somewhere.
