Every November, Battle of the Commentators brings approximately 1,400 guests to Evolution London for an afternoon of surprise entertainment, exceptional hospitality and fundraising.
Organised by event agency Legend Holiday & Events , the annual lunch has called Evolution London home since 2021, having previously taken place at Finsbury Square. With its Battersea Park location, large capacity and ability to transform year after year, Evolution London has become an important part of this much-loved annual event.
The ambition is simple: to give guests a memorable afternoon filled with unexpected entertainment while raising as much money as possible for charities nominated on the day.

Battle of the Commentators takes place during Evolution London’s annual Christmas season. While the venue and experienced team remain familiar to Legend Holiday & Events, the setting itself changes each year.
From New York and Off Piste to Carnivale, each immersive Christmas theme has provided a completely different backdrop for the lunch, bringing a new look and feel to an established event.
Battle of the Commentators may return to Evolution London every November, but it never returns to quite the same venue.

2025 was no exception, with one particularly memorable addition: 1,400 guests donned glittery cowboy hats and took to the floor for a mass line dance with the Red Roses.
